Hey guys! Amber here, one of your new mods, with a couple of administrative updates, a couple of polls, and a personal plot note.

First of all, we've created a drop post and a hiatus post, which will be linked in the comms' profiles and on the bottom of all the mod pages (taken, reserves, setting, etc.) soon, and the FAQ will be adjusted to reflect this. This is to make it easier for us as mods to keep track of drops and hiatuses on their own separate pages, so from now on we'd prefer it if you guys would use these pages when you need to drop a character or go on hiatus.

Second, we'll be creating a player contact page separate from the taken list. In conversation with some players in the past, I'm under the impression that folks would rather have a contact list that is only visible to people already in the game. That said, it'll be posted here in the OOC comm and locked so that members only can view it, and links will be provided as with the drop and hiatus pages. This is so we all have contact info in one organized, consolidated place. The list hasn't been posted yet, but it will be probably either tonight or tomorrow.

Now for the polls. One of the things I've been tossing around personally for a while and something that we've been discussing amongst ourselves as mods is the idea of having a wiki for QoH, both to host all our major setting/plot info in one place and to have a place where people can make pages for their characters and keep track of character development, CR, and the like. So we're putting it to you, the players, to see whether this is something you might be interested in doing. Additionally, there's the matter of hosting; there are several different free wiki hosting options available. One is PBwiki, which allows you to create and edit pages in a format similar to a word processor like Microsoft Word. The other being considered is Wikkii, which operates on the same software that runs Wikipedia; it takes a little bit more effort to build pages, but some people may also find this format easier to customize and deal with.

Last, this is just a note for folks who have or are interested in CR with aunomdedieu! As of tomorrow, I am putting her on a much-needed canon update. This means that she will be out of the Gardens for a week, returning on next Thursday, May 26th. When she comes back, I'll be posting a big open log if anyone would like to interact with her; she won't be in an especially good place emotionally at the time, since she'll have gone through some pretty dramatic things in her own world, but if your character is nice to her she will certainly remember it later. (Additionally, for her ladies Jackie and Dominique who live with her — they are free to notice that she is gone. She'll have vanished in a shower of rose petals sometime that morning, so... the petals can linger on the floor of her upstairs bedroom as the remaining evidence of her presence, for ~dramatic effect~. Not that... they'll know what they're from, but Caprica doesn't generally keep flowers in the house, so they'll be strange at least.)

eta; Also, we'd just like to give a friendly reminder about the wanted characters post, which has just been updated. If there's any characters that you would like to see in the game, don't hesitate to leave a note there!

Additionally, the player-created places list is now up to date.
