Your mods here once again with another important announcement.

We mentioned in the last post regarding the community layouts that we would take a poll on moving Queen of Hearts off of LiveJournal if enough of the playerbase showed an interest in doing so. Judging from comments there, it seems quite a few of you are receptive to the idea. That said, we're going to go ahead and poll the community to see what would be the best option.

Some things to keep in mind:
- We'd most likely be moving the game to Dreamwidth, which will soon be offering an option to allow community administrators to import the contents of their communities from LiveJournal. This tool isn't out quite yet, and there will be a few temporary restrictions on it when it does come out (as detailed in this news post), but in short: we would expect to be able to import the entire contents of all the communities - comments as well as entries - eventually.
- Dreamwidth runs on an invite code system much like LiveJournal used to. However, until the end of December, they are allowing new accounts to be created without an invite code. After that, we would be able to obtain a 'promo code' specifically to allow any number of people to join QoH.
- Any official move of the game to Dreamwidth would likely not be completed until around mid-January at the earliest, to allow time for us to deal with administrative issues as well as that month's plot.
