29 March 2011 @ 07:52 pm
Summary: April is a month for new things and growth. After the chaos of March, the game-wide plot in April will be more lighthearted and focused on worldbuilding and quirkiness. Player plots can easily be scheduled around it if people want.

April 1: ???
⇒ Don't worry: nothing that happens on April 1st will affect the overarching plot of the game! This is entirely for fun and can be ignored at your leisure.
[OOC] April 2: Activity check!
April 8-11: The Petal Dance, a formal ball celebrating the start of spring, will be held.
⇒ The Petal Dance will be ICly announced earlier in the week, and it will run through the weekend. Backtagging is perfectly fine, and there will be no surprise horrors to jump out at you or crucial plot developments to be missed. However, on the last day of it, something strange will happen...
April 12: A new area will open up for exploration.
[OOC] April 15: How's My Driving?
⇒ The official Queen of Hearts HMD will occur on April 15th and the following weekend. Participation is optional and players are expected to be mature about it.
April 23: Troubles will arise from the new area; it'll be up to the inhabitants of the Gardens to decide how to resolve them.

Summary: Now that we've started to settle in, some bigger monthly plots can get started. February gives us, of course, Valentine's Day--and this month's plot predicates upon that. There will be opportunities for problem-solving, combat, and crack, as well as some romance. Keep in touch for details!

[OOC] February 1st: Activity check. This is the first AC at Queen of Hearts, and since we've all been busy with holidays and getting the game going, you'll be allowed to use any activity from the start of the game until now, so long as it meets the requirements. We'll be more stringent in the future.

February 2nd: Characters wake up with a red thread tied around their ankles. They can try to ignore it, but they will not be able to snap or cut it until they follow it to its source: a tiny, closed flower somewhere in the Gardens, with a scroll attached instructing them to take care of it, because it is their very own.

February 3rd-13th: The flowers grow to the size of a person, regardless of whether or not they're being taken care of. A plot post will go up at this time.

February 14th: The flowers bloom with a Valentine's Day surprise!

February 15th: After Valentine's Day, the action-filled part of the plot begins.

February 20th: The plot ends.

February 21st-23rd: The incarnae clean up in the aftermath.

24 November 2010 @ 03:25 pm
Summary: December won't have an overarching plot, because we're just getting started, and it'll be trial enough for the characters to get used to the Gardens and all that comes with them. There will be minor events early on to help introduce the NPC cast and set up the game for genderswaps, but the only major event will be a holiday one.

November 27th: The game opens! There will be a post from the Queen of Hearts, and then everyone is free to make their own posts.

December 1st: Starting the night of the first of December, the Queen is going to attempt to put stars in the skies of the Gardens. She'll end up putting in so many that the skies will be lit up like day. It will be up to the inhabitants of the Gardens to help the Damsel take them down.

December 8th: The stars will finally be balanced, and the night sky will be normal.

Sometime between November 27th and December 11th: A new location will be added to the Gardens. Watch for it!

December 11th: An event will occur to enable genderswaps.

[OOC] December 12th: Reserves and applications for genderswapped male characters open.

December 22-26: For Christmas, the Queen is giving you all...a raging blizzard filled with shadowy horrors. The only way to survive the cold and the terror is to rely on each other. Stay tuned for details!
