I need to take another hiatus for COLLEGE PURPOSES. Exams and the like. I'll be back in like, February, full throttle. BUT!! I might check QOH once in a while. Activity will be strained, sorry.

Sooo, I've been poking and prodding around and I realized that if Arha here doesn't get her daily allotment of spice, she shall go into withdrawal and consequently die over a very long and painful period.  For Fremen and Bene Gesserit who have a steady intake of spice melange in their diet, there is no 'weaning' off the spice, just...well, the most painful death imaginable.  As spice melange is a mind-expanding narcotic, I though it best to ask if I can recreate a small sietch with a decent expanse of desert and rock that will contain enough spice for Arha to remain comfortable.  (Which she would do in her quest to 'find the seaocean'--which will just fail miserably anyway.  SEAOCEAN.  WANT. :o )

...asking for a Shai-Hulud to maintain the spice might be too much, even if it were a small one, but I'll ask anyway.  They're pretty dangerous, but the one I'd ask for would be juvenile.  As per Dune, the weather would be very hot and very dry with intensely cold nights.  The winds will stir an electrical charge, which will produce a blue lightning, and intense sandstorms--which means taking shelter is imperitive if you don't want to die.  I was debating on when to establish this, but wanted a little feedback before I did so.  Since...getting people high on spice is probably not awesome, I could restrict the effect to Arha and Dune universe characters?

So, as some of you may have noticed, I've poofed for like a week...

My residence internet's been down or slightly wonky where it only lets me get on AIM and not access any sites. :|
Clear problem. Anyway, not sure when I'll be back exactly. If it stays off, I'll steal a library or something...

As of today, the setting page has been updated with the first major new area, the Caves of the Arimoi. Questions about this area can be dropped into this post! There will be a minor plot regarding it later in the month, but for now, characters can just explore, get lost, find treasure, fight monsters, or whatever.

The necessities are still in the goofy form that the Girl put them in (and some may also have become McDonald's Playplaces complete with ball pits), but renovation is underway. Expect an update from the Queen in the next few days with their final form. This will be permanent, and characters will have the option of either staying in these "settled" necessities or making their own shelter from wild stuff.

And just as a reminder, since it's been empty lately: game chat can be found at sappho plays here on AIM.
