As you may have seen, the reward for making out beneath the mistletoe is a supernatural fireworks show! It will run from midnight right up until sunrise. There are different things to see at different parts of the Garden, so feel free to have your character wander around and not get any sleep at all.
The temperature has been dropping precipitously, although there is as yet no snow on the ground. Winter is fast approaching, and the temperature isn't the only sign of it: In the Viridian Pavilian, the pokemon are hanging up stockings for each of the characters. They're empty right now, but once the Solstice arrives on the twenty-first, they will be suddenly full of goodies your character will enjoy, particularly harmless things that your character might not be able to make with the magic dirt (such as a cook book, which you couldn't make if your character doesn't know the recipes).
