Event Update
Today, a second wave of faeries arrive, and they're considerably less well-behaved than the previous set. Whereas the first wave of arrivals were hatched from eggs that were cared for, these faeries hatched from eggs that were neglected, abused, or even broken (don't ask).
Consequently, they're very illtempered. The other faeries were mischievous, but these are malicious: they'll specifically seek out and torment the ones who failed to properly care for them, but they'll also deliberately cause trouble for anyone else they come across.
One result of this invasion is that the total amount of fairy dust in the air will intensify, especially as the neglected faeries will be deliberately blanketing the Gardens with it in order to cause trouble. Anything made of dirt may become unstable, up to and including the player-made places, exhibiting weird behaviors or even disappearing altogether.
On the hand, there is a bright side: if caught in a jar, all these faeries, both mischievous and malevolent, can be kept for an instant healing effect on the bearer upon release.
Which segues nicely into an OOC point: We've noticed that the Player Created Places page has become extremely cluttered by locations which are left from dropped players and have not been used since. We intend to use the Garden's present instability to do a bit of housekeeping, so that the page isn't clogged with irrelevant entries. Here's how it's going to work:
1. Any locations created by a character still in the game will be automatically retained.
2. If you are using an abandoned location, or intend to use it, you can comment to the thread in this post in order to claim it. Such locations will be retained.
3. At the end of the month, all others will be purged. In-game, they'll have simply failed to reform after the chaos of the faerie dust bombardment.
4. The mod responsible for maintaining the page will keep a copy of the code for it, so that anyone who forgets to or for whatever reason fails to claim a location they want to keep can still recover it later.
