Other comments: I feel Mugi needs to get out more, and I often find difficulties keeping her speech patterns consistent. I plan on rewatching the first season soon and getting some advice on that from my Japanese-speaking friends. I'm also highly unused to using honorifics and specific mannerisms, so if you feel better about her using a certain form of address (or want me to abstain altogether) please let me know!

For Subaru, on the same point, she is not Japanese, so she really only calls people by their family name out of courtesy to them — but she's used to being on a first name basis with pretty much everyone unless they're much older and/or in a position of authority. No honorifics, either. (I received crit on this elsewhere, which is the only reason I'm bringing it up!)

The main thing is...I feel like I've made her way more subdued than she should be. Grell's so loud and vibrant that although I can make allowances, I keep feeling like ehhhh. /lies here uselessly/ Maybe it's just finals, idk.

Hrm. One thing that had occurred to me, as far as letting out her more mischievous/darker side goes, which is not quite that same as her loud side, was to perhaps use some darker pieces of literature as inspiration to cause some trouble. Shakespeare, Poe, Dorian, etc. I was rereading her dream with Fela from yonks ago where she got to do her Ophelia, and she really does thrive when she gets to be dramatic. Maybe that sort of extravagance would make up for the more subdued environment?

Just brainstorming aloud here! It may also just be time to change up characters, I don't think anyone would fault you for that after such a long run.

I need to stop being lazy myself and get Vivi's app written.

Other comments: Honestly, I'm having problems with Tao's speech pattern. Between Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift she began speaking less in the third person and gained a more normal way of speaking. I'm trying to balance this and have really settled on her using the third person when excited or explaing herself and normal speech for everything else.

Gavril I think is fine, except I recently found out her name should have two l's in it but I'd like to think she's reached a good balance between being a scary monster and a person who is kind in her own way to those she likes. The series post-script also has her being rather sweet with her sisters, which isn't really important but it is adorable.

I just need to get Rumia out more, expect more of her soon.
